Terms of Service
Working terms for Headwater managed website services. These apply when you purchase — not when you book a call.
Headwater provides managed website design, hosting, maintenance, and related online business infrastructure under subscription plans described on headwater.sh.
Plans and commitment. Core plans typically include a setup fee paid when you sign the contract. That setup fee covers Headwater’s build and delivery work. Your first month of subscription service is free; the first monthly bill is due one month after you sign and pay setup. Listed monthly rates assume a 12-month initial commitment. Month-to-month service is available at a 25% higher monthly rate. Exact billing cycles, renewal, cancellation, and refund terms are confirmed before purchase and may be updated with notice.
Delivery. Most customer sites go live in about one to two weeks after work begins, subject to timely customer input and any third-party dependencies.
Early end of a 12-month plan. If you end a 12-month commitment early, hosting and the website become unavailable. Month-to-month pricing does not carry that lock-in.
Domains. Customers retain ultimate ownership rights to their domain. While subscribed, Headwater may register, renew, and configure the domain on the customer’s behalf. If Headwater registered the domain and service ends, Headwater will cooperate on a reasonable transfer of domain control; a transfer fee applies.
Content and compliance. Customers are responsible for the accuracy of business information, imagery rights, and content they provide. Headwater does not guarantee search rankings, traffic, leads, or revenue.
Third-party services. Commerce and other plans may rely on third-party platforms (we prefer Shopify; custom Stripe-based stores are available when appropriate). Payment processing, shipping, platform subscriptions, and similar fees are customer responsibilities unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing.
Client portal. After purchase, customers may use Client login to manage billing, request changes, or discuss plan upgrades, subject to the access and security controls Headwater provides.
